چکیده
A combined severity factor (RCSF) which is usually used to evaluate the effectiveness of hydrothermal pretreatment at above 100 °C had been developed assess influence temperature, time, and alkali loading on enzymatic hydrolysis lignocellulose. It not suitable for evaluating alkaline lower than °C. According reported deducing process, this study modified expression $$ {R}_{\mathrm{CSF}}=\log \left[{C}_{OH^{-}}^n\times t\times {e}^{\left({T}_r-{T}_b\right)/14.75}\right] as \left\{{C}_{OH^{-}}\times {e}^{\left[-13700/\left( Tr+273\right)+36.2\right]}\right\} easier more reasonable pretreatment. showed that RCSF exhibited linear trend with lignin removal, quadratic curve relation efficiency (EHE) same temperature. The EHE alkali-treated SCB could attain maximum value RCSF, indicated it was necessary continuously enhance strength improving EHE. Within a certain temperature range, important time Furthermore, contribution cost seldom concerned investigated in work. contributed 70% cost. This laid foundation further optimizing reduce its practical application.

Comparison between Wet Oxidation and Steam Explosion as Pretreatment Methods for Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Sugarcane Bagasse
Alkaline wet oxidation and steam explosion pretreatments of sugarcane bagasse were compared with regard to biomass fractionation, formation of by-products, and enzymatic convertibility of the pretreated material. Wet oxidation led to the solubilisation of 82% of xylan and 50% of lignin, and to a two-fold increase of cellulose content in the pretreated solids, while steam explosion solubilised o...
متن کاملEnhancing Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Cellulose by Ultrasonic Pretreatment
Slurries of rice-straw cellulose (obtained by delignification and removal of hemicelluloses from the powdered raw material) were subjected to ultrasonic waves at different intensities for various times (constant temperature). Susceptibility of the samples to cellulose-hydrolysis increased initially with pretreatment time, reaching a maximum or a constant level thereafter. Maximum glucose yi...
متن کاملThe influence of variety type on dilute acid pretreatment-hydrolysis responses of sugarcane bagasse
This study evaluated the influence of variety type on dilute acid pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis responses in terms of xylose, glucose and total combined sugar yields of eight varieties of sugarcane bagasse. The pretreatment was carried out in small tubular reactors. The materials were pretreated under five different conditions and hydrolysed with a standard enzyme dosage (15 FPU/g water...
متن کاملPretreatment and Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Sorghum Bran1
Cereal Chem. 84(1):61–66 Sorghum bran has potential to serve as a low-cost feedstock for production of fuel ethanol. Sorghum bran from a decortication process (10%) was used for this study. The approximate chemical composition of sorghum bran was 30% starch, 18% hemicellulose, 11% cellulose, 11% protein, 10% crude fat, and 3% ash. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness...
متن کاملAlkaline Pretreatment of Sugarcane Bagasse and Filter Mud Codigested to Improve Biomethane Production
To enhance the codigestion of degradation and improve biomethane production potential, sugarcane bagasse and filter mud were pretreated by sodium hydroxide NaOH 1 N at 100°C for 15, 30, and 45 minutes, respectively. Biomethane generation from 1-liter batch reactor was studied at mesophilic temperature (37 ± 1)°C, solid concentrations of 6%, and five levels of mixing proportion with and without ...
